RIT SPEX Launches HAB 4
Today, April 22nd, 2018 at 10:24 A.M. RIT Space Exploration launched our fourth high altitude balloon, appropriately named HAB 4. The launch was well looked forward to by the HAB team.

What is a CubeSat?
A CubeSat is type of satellite, commonly classified as a "smallsat" or "picosatellite". They provide an opportunity for smaller groups and student organizations to be able to afford to send their own mission into orbit.
So what is a High Altitude Balloon (HAB) ?
So what is a high altitude balloon? A high altitude balloon, or HAB, is a very large latex balloon that depending on the size of the balloon and how much helium will take a small payload to around 100,000 feet or 30,000 meters in the atmosphere.
Who are we?
To put it simply, SPEX is a community of people who are passionate about space. We are students and faculty of all majors and fields of expertise united by our love of space exploration.
